I get it. Creating a brand for your business from scratch is hard. I hired Alisabeth Designs to custom create a new brand and website. This girl knew it would be too much for me to try on my own. 10/10 would recommend hiring a brand and website designer. It was a smooth process and they made my vision come to life. Photography rebrand and website design is an investment that is worth it.
Rebranding has opened my business up to a fresh new look. I wanted my brand to represent my local and world-wide couples. I knew I wanted a healthy balance of local weddings and stateside/international weddings. Because, let’s be real, I miss my hubby and pup way too much when I am gone. So, let’s break it down. I wanted my colors to represent my home. The colors I chose match the colors of Blue Mounds State Park at sunset. Pinks, oranges, peach, green. In my logo there is foliage. These florals represent different parts of the world. The dried palm represents tropical. The grass represents prairie grass through the midwest. The leaves represent the tall trees at the foothills of the mountains. The branches represent the desert shrubbery. The reason I chose an arch is to tie in the style of my brand.
Another reason I decided to rebrand, is because I added to my team! I had a never ending list of things I needed to do, and no time to do them. Finally, I decided to hire interns and an assistant. Claire and Emma are two high school and college students that work for me once a week doing odds and ends tasks I need to get done. Abi is my assistant who works on much of my online maintenance such as website, Pinterest, blogs, etc. Hailey, my now videographer, came to me with the idea that she wanted to start her own videography business. So, we did just that. She started up a business, moved into the studio, and began shooting weddings for practice with me. As you can see, the face of Sydney Leigh changed.
Rebranding is not the easiest thing to do. So, I decided to hire a someone else to create my brand. Let the photography rebrand and website design begin!
To begin, Alisabeth Designs is the designer who created my brand and website. I found Sara through The Heart University. Once I got in touch and booked Alisabeth Designs, the entire process started. The team helped me create a mood board on Pinterest of everything I vibe with. She sent me a questionnaire which I filled out about myself. When that was complete, the process began. The whole timeline took about 5 weeks. The team sent each design to be approved. Logos, pages, illustrations, everything. This made the process super exciting. Every time I received an email, I couldn’t wait to see what they created. After I approved everything, it was time to make my own adjustments to the site. I added the photos I wanted, made minor adjustments, and connected my blog posts.
I created a list of things I wanted done before the big launch. First, I was in the process of redoing the flooring in my studio. I had gray carpet and it wasn’t matching my style. I put in vinyl natural wooding flooring. Next, I wanted to make sure I had brand photos with my entire team. So, we went out and took photos together. Finally, I wanted to make sure everything was ready for launch week. Giveaways, posts, reels, and much more had to be ready to go.
OKAY. So, now it is launch day. After this whole process of planning, it is finally here. I hope you are as excited as I am! Today was the launch day of my website and new brand. Tomorrow will be the launch of my team. Once the launch has started, I will introduce each team member. Who they are, what they do, and something fun about them! For Wednesday, the big studio reveal will be coming your way! Finally, on Thursday and Friday, there will be two big giveaways that you will not want to miss.
So, stay tuned through this entire week to share in all the goodness of the launch!
